Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services Cedric Howard has reported encouraging results from the Oct. 2 pool testing of SUNY Fredonia students for COVID-19.

Dr. Howard noted, in an email to students, “Your collective efforts to be #FREDstrong continues to pay dividends. This past Friday, 357 students were involved in the latest round of pool testing conducted in Steele Hall. There were zero positive cases. Since the start of the semester, Fredonia has conducted a grand total of 1,154 pool tests with two positive cases returned.”

He added that the number of pool tests will increase in mid-October to comply with revisions to the SUNY pool testing guidelines.

Students are required to participate in testing, and are notified by email when they have been selected to participate.
