Arnavut co-authors encryption article accepted by Elsevier’s Journal

“Concurrent Encryption and Lossless Compression using Inversion Ranks,” an article co-written by Department of Computer Information Sciences Professor Ziya Arnavut and SUNY Fredonia alumnus Dr. Basar Koc, will be published in Elsevier’s Journal of Information Security and Applications.

Miles Calloway, a senior majoring in Computer Science from Eden, presented his research project, “Towards a Deep Learning Based Code Scoring Technique Using Tokenization,” at the 2023 Conference on Instruction & Technology held in May.

Goetz named recipient of SUNY’s McConney award

Emma R. Goetz, a May 2023 candidate for graduation from SUNY Fredonia with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, was one of 46 students from throughout the State University of New York selected to receive the Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

Computer Science students, Zubairi to participate in NSF Regional I-Corps program

Two students majoring in Computer Science who are supervised and mentored by SUNY Distinguished Professor Junaid Zubairi have been accepted along with their professor to participate in the National Science Foundation’s Innovation-Corps Regional Course at SUNY Binghamton.
