Students prepare income tax returns, achieve refunds for area residents
Student volunteers tallied impressive numbers at this year’s IRS Volunteer Tax Assistance Program. Federal and state tax returns Fredonia students filed for area residents totaled 575, representing a hefty bump of 20 percent from the prior year. Tax refunds due reached nearly $970,000.
Fitzpatrick pens articles published in finance journals

Nickerson gives talk on AI impact on financial environment
Mark A. Nickerson, lecturer in the School of Business, gave a presentation, “The Potential Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Accounting and Financial Scandals,” to faculty members on March 21 in Thompson Hall. The talk was based on an article he wrote which will be published in the magazine “Strategic Finance.”
