Youngerman Center Preschool to resume in-person this fall

In-person preschool will resume at the Henry C. Youngerman Center Preschool on the Fredonia campus in the 2021-2022 school year.
“We are very excited to welcome children back to the Youngerman Center Preschool,” said Julie Williams, clinic director at the Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders.
The preschool program, which provides children with learning experiences that foster social, emotional, physical and academic success, is conducted by Speech-Language Pathology students enrolled in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences’ master’s program and overseen by a licensed speech-language pathologist.
Its small class size allows for personalized attention to address individual children's needs and provides support for the Fredonia campus and the local community.
A child must be at least three years of age by Sept. 1 and not be eligible for kindergarten in the fall, not turning five before Dec. 1, to quality for the program.
The preschool, located in Thompson Hall, operates Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. during the fall and spring semesters and the first summer session. The preschool is not in session during campus breaks and on national holidays.
Melissa Hooper, program coordinator, will provide additional information to those who submit an application.
