Three virtual sessions will introduce students to international opportunities

The Office of International Education will host three information sessions in April to help students explore overseas study opportunities.

Critical Language Scholarship Info Session – will be held on Monday, April 19, at noon online via Zoom. Students will learn about this fully funded summer language institute sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Study Abroad in China Info Session – will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at 5 6 p.m. online via Zoom. The information session will be devoted to discussion about potential programs, Chinese culture and what to expect from a summer abroad experience.

Gilman-FLAD Portugal Scholarship Session – will be held on Wednesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. online via Zoom. The award, worth up to $8,000, is meant to support Pell recipients studying abroad through the Study in Portugal Network. Students can learn more about the award and a study abroad program in Portugal.

Students interested in study abroad or overseas travel should contact the Office of International Education.

Yan Jiang, a SUNY Fredonia sophomore double major in Public Accountancy and Business Administration-Finance, was one of 52 students from throughout the State University of New York selected to receive the Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence.
