The State University of New York at Fredonia is one of 10 additional SUNY campus COVID-19 community testing sites scheduled to open this week across the state, Governor Kathy Hochul announced Monday.

Jewett Hall, the SUNY Fredonia test location, will be in operation daily, beginning Thursday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Quadrant Biosciences PCR COVID-19 test, an oral, saliva-based test, will be administered.

Appointments for the public, held in 10-minute increments, can be scheduled online

On-site staff can address any questions and assist with the test registration process.

Testing sites at the 10 SUNY campuses will maintain a capacity for approximately 225 appointments per day and up to 50 walk-ins.

"These new SUNY sites build on our ongoing efforts to make testing more available as part of our Winter Surge Plan, and will be part of more than 2,000 locations statewide where New Yorkers can easily get tested for COVID-19,” Gov. Hochul said. “We are utilizing every possible state resource to keep New Yorkers safe and protect our fragile health care system."

Additional community COVID-19 testing information is available online

SUNY FREDONIA STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES: Surveillance testing exclusively for SUNY Fredonia students and employees outside the Natatorium will continue on Jan. 11 and Jan. 18, from noon to 4 p.m. each day as previously announced.
