A showing of the movie “Johnny Gruesome,” which host HAIL! Fredonia Records has attached a “come-at-your-own-risk” warning, will be held in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

The 2019 horror film is about a rebellious high school student, Johnny Grissom, who, after he’s murdered, returns from the grave as a revenge-crazed supernatural creature, Johnny Gruesome. Rotten Tomatoes gave the Gregory Lamberson-directed film an audience rating of 86 percent.

Also included at this movie night will be raffle baskets and plenty of spooky decorations and photo opportunities. Raffle items include a limited edition Blu-ray disc of the movie signed by the director and horror books. Snacks and Halloween candy, of course, will be available to purchase.

“Anyone who loves Halloween! Whether you are a hardcore horror lover or someone who likes the occasional spook, this event will be perfect for you!” said HAIL! Fredonia Records events coordinator Sage Brandt, a senior majoring in Music Industry and Business Administration: Management, from Newark, NY.

“You can attend on your own, or with a group of friends to enjoy the movie with! Either way it will be a spook-tastic event!” Miss Brandt added.

The screening is free and open to the public.
