Three selections Mr. LaGreca performed were “Alto Saxophone Sonata,” by John Worley; “Der Holle Nachklang,” by Dimitri Terzakas and the fourth movement of Bach’s “Violin Sonata No. 3 in C major.” All selections were recorded at SUNY Fredonia in October for the online competition.

A member of the Wind Ensemble and Saxophone Ensemble last fall, LaGreca began playing alto saxophone, his primary instrument, at the age of 10. He is a student of Associate Professor Wildy Zumwalt and a former student of School of Music alumnus (’06) Timothy Martin.

A 2022 graduate of Lockport High School, LaGreca plans to pursue a career performing in orchestras and ensembles.
