"My goal is to go to medical school and become a physician. Research has taught me how to problem solve, think critically, and troubleshoot problems," Hahn said. "It has also increased my appreciation of the frustrating, yet rewarding, scientific discovery process. These skills will certainly stay with me throughout the rest of my life. I would not have had the opportunity to learn this much in the research lab if it were not for the generous donors who made it possible. I greatly appreciate all of the learning opportunities I have had at SUNY Fredonia thanks to these donors."

Among Elizabeth's extracurriculars, she is in the Tri-Beta Biological Honors Society, a site coordinator for Habitat for Humanity, a member of Partners in Health Engage and the Health Professions Club. She is also a tutor at the Learning Center, and a French horn player in Mitochondria Wind Quintet.
