Dr. Matthew Purtill

Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences Assistant Professor Matthew Purtill is lead author on a co-authored article, "Archaeological Investigations of Fulton County, Indiana: Summary Results for a FY17 Historic Preservation Fund Survey," published by Indiana Archaeology, volume 16, number 1.

The journal article reports the results of an archaeological survey in Fulton County, Ind., as part of a Historic Preservation Fund grant. Both historic and precontact Native American results are reported and integrated into known regional patterns.

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
